Top 10 Who publishes
Who publishes this guide
basketballstorage is a small travel publication about casino resorts seen as places to stay. It is run by the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise, the gaming enterprise of the Navajo Nation, based in northern Arizona, and this page explains who we are, what we own, how the site is paid for and how we decide what to print.
01The publisher
The site is published by the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise, Flagstaff, Arizona, US. General enquiries go to contact@basketballstorage.com; privacy questions to privacy@basketballstorage.com.
Writing and fact-checking are done by an editorial group working for the publisher. Entries are built from hotels' own websites, public information about locations and transport, and the practical knowledge of people who travel to resorts like these.
02Our ownership of the #1 resort
The Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise owns Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort, the hotel shown at position one. Position one goes to the resort our publisher owns, purely because of that ownership; positions two to ten reflect what our editors think of each stay. That placement is a commercial decision by the owner, and we do not present it as independent.
To keep the rest of the list honest, the Twin Arrows entry follows exactly the same format as the others, with no extra claims, and its ownership is flagged on the entry, in the introduction, in the methodology and on the affiliate page.
03How the site makes money
Some outbound hotel links may carry affiliate or referral tracking. A reservation completed after clicking one can earn us a commission from the hotel or a partner network, at no extra cost to you. We do not sell positions on the list, and commission plays no part in the order of positions two to ten.
The site also supports the publisher's own resort by listing it first, as stated above.
04Selection criteria
Every resort here combines hotel accommodation with a casino on site, and we judge it purely as a stay. For each one we look at:
- the range of rooms and what a guest should ask for;
- leisure facilities such as pools, a spa, restaurants and evening venues;
- the setting and what is reachable nearby;
- the nearest airport and a realistic transfer;
- how easy it is to confirm fees, age rules and other conditions.
We hand out no marks, and we do not print room counts, prices or opening years unless we are confident they are correct.
05Experience and sources
We favour first-party sources: the hotel's own website, official destination information and transport operators. Where a detail could not be confirmed, we leave it general or mark it "Ask" so that you check with the hotel. We do not publish guest reviews or testimonials.
06Corrections
Spotted an error or something stale? Send the page and the detail to contact@basketballstorage.com. We compare the report with what the property itself publishes and revise the page once the fix is confirmed. Significant changes are reflected in the "Updated" note on the home page.
